Born and raised in Ekaterinburg, Russia, Ekaterina has a background in Regional Studies (Central Europe) and International Relations. She studied Euroculture in Uppsala and Göttingen and began her professional career in 2011 as a Project Assistant at ICUnet.AG in Cologne. From 2012 to 2016, she worked as Assistant Coordinator of the Euroculture programme at the University of Göttingen, while also gaining experience in the Dean of Studies Office at the Faculty of Social Sciences and the University’s International Office. She then spent eight years in the Mayor’s Office of the Göttingen City Administration, where she was responsible for relations with the scientific community and industry. Since November 2024, she has been working at the DAAD in the Campus Initiative for International Talents.
