Leading Change: Women and Leadership in Academia

Despite increasing representation, women in academia continue to face specific challenges in accessing leadership roles and navigating institutional power structures. This interactive workshop explores the dynamics of female leadership in academic settings, focusing on strategies for empowerment, resilience, and systemic change. Participants will engage in reflective exercises, and peer discussions to examine the barriers and opportunities facing women in academic leadership. The session will offer practical tools and guide participants to develop strategies for advancing their own leadership capacity, negotiating institutional politics, and fostering inclusive academic environments.
The workshop is designed to provide a supportive space to share experiences, build networks, and strengthen each participant in their leadership journey.

- Advanced training in diversity management and intercultural communication, New Work and self-organisation, leadership embodiment
- Certified Facilitator (Facilitation Academy Berlin)
- Experience in supporting organisational processes in complex environments (e.g. development of guidelines and values processes)
- Experience in working with refugees, memorial site education, and contemporary witness projects
