Anna Roeland

Former Pre-Doctoral Research Fellow

Anna was a pre-doctoral research fellow at the Chair of Development Economics/CeMIS, where she worked with Dr. Dominik Naeher on a DFG-funded research project on child labor and education in India. Anna’s research draws on a broad background in development economics. She has worked on a randomized controlled trial examining the adoption of agricultural technologies in India and is interested in topics including rural livelihoods, climate change adaptation, and health and education outcomes.
She holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from the University of Göttingen, a Master’s degree in Economics from Stellenbosch University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Kiel University. Prior to joining the Chair of Development Economics/CeMIS, Anna gained professional and research experience at the International Labour Organization (ILO) and in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Göttingen.
