SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

Driven by the intrinsic power of structural biology to directly elucidate protein function through structure, my research focuses on unraveling the molecular mechanisms of protein degradation machinery using Cryo-EM. Building upon my prior research on the structural analysis of complex systems, including a mammalian E3 ubiquitin ligase complex and hormonal cascade components involving energy-driven transcription factors and E3 ligases, I am eager to investigate key scaffold proteins implicated in human diseases to advance therapeutic development. Furthermore, I am interested in advancing single-particle Cryo-EM methodology to refine structure determination pipelines, ultimately providing actionable insights that support and accelerate the work of the broader structural biology community.
