In the above mentioned bachelor's programmes, credits can be awarded for internships under certain conditions. The conditions for recognizing internships for credits are outlined in the document "Rules for the completion of the course B.WIWI-WB.1000 (external internship)" (download/ in German).

You must submit several documents to the Faculty of Business and Economics Student Advisory Office in digital form (PDF) by e-mail both before and after the internship:

1. Before the internship: An application to have the internship recognized (download/ in German) is due approximately 6 weeks* before the internship begins. It must be submitted to the Faculty of Business and Economics Student Advisory Office along with the host institution's internship programme, which should outline the content of the internship as well as a rough timeline. Also the duration of your internship and your weekly working hours should be mentioned. In addition, a current transcript of grades must be submitted.


2. After the internship: After completing the internship, submit the approved application form (from above) with an internship report or review of your work from your host institution. Your contact person in the host institution has to sign the report before you hand it in. The specific details and requirements can be found in the document "Rules for the completion of the course B.WIWI-WB.1000 (external internship)" (see above).

Please carefully read the requirements for converting internships into credits. If all the conditions are met, you will be able to receive six credits for the course "B.WIWI-WB.1000 Externes Praktikum", which does not include a grade.

*You can also submit the application later. However, the mandatory processing of the application before the start of the internship cannot be guaranteed. The risk is in the hands of the applicant and is significantly minimised if you send complete documents by email.

  Internships or internship hours that have already been completed cannot be taken into account as part of the credit transfer. If your internship has already started but you still have at least 170 internship hours scheduled for a future period, you can still submit an application for credit transfer. In your application, specify a period that lies in the future.
