SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am fascinated by the complexity of biological processes at the molecular and cellular level and by how changes in these processes can affect cellular function and ultimately contribute to disease. I am especially interested in the connection between fundamental molecular biology and its medical relevance, as understanding the molecular basis of disease can provide opportunities for developing new therapeutic strategies. I also enjoy combining different experimental approaches, particularly molecular and imaging techniques, to investigate biological questions from different perspectives.
