Permanent cooperation
Completed internal university cooperation projects
- Göttingen Campus QPLUS (until 2020)Göttingen Campus QPLUS
With the start of the large-scale university project for better study conditions Göttingen Campus QPLUS, financed by the federal and state governments, Göttingen University Didactics has been given many new tasks in the university-wide academic qualification process.
In the coming years, systematic personnel development for teaching will be established. Starting with the doctoral phase, this is to be established as continuous further qualification in the course of teaching activities. In addition to the expansion of the university didactics program, specific offers for teaching and study support staff will also be developed.
Göttingen Campus QPLUS has also made cross-university cooperation possible: Together with the Center for University Didactics at Clausthal University of Technology, we are currently developing a cross-university offering for STEM subjects.
- Hetairos - Learning to teach from Prof(i)s (until 2020)Hetairos - Learning to teach from Prof(i)s
Between summer semester 2010 and summer semester 2020, the Göttingen University Didactics and the Graduate School of Humanities Göttingen (GSGG) implemented the Hetairos team teaching program in cooperation:
Hetairos improved the didactic training of early career researchers and enabled a systematic and professionally supervised entry into university teaching. The basic university didactics training was combined with a team teaching component. The participants received a condensed introduction to the basics of university didactics and at the same time planned a seminar with a colleague experienced in teaching. This was then carried out together with appropriate feedback.
- edidactics conference: Teaching in new waysedidactics conference: Teaching in new ways
On 10 November 2015, together with our colleagues from the E-Learning Service, we organized the conference Lehre auf neuen Wegen - Warum gutes E-Learning Lehrende braucht. The University Didactics Forum 2015 was integrated into this event.
- Ombuds Office for Good Research PracticeOmbuds Office for Good Research Practice
In cooperation with the Ombuds Office for Good Academic Practice at the university, we are looking at what “good academic practice” can and should mean in the context of university teaching in a wide variety of formats and settings.
- Faculty of Philosophy: Workshops for specialized theorynFaculty of Philosophy: Workshops for specialized theory
Since summer semester 2012, regular qualification workshops for subject tutors have been held in cooperation with the University Didactics department. The new offer is primarily aimed at students of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. However, students from other faculties can also register here. In the workshop, students have the opportunity to reflect on their own role as a tutor, learn about methods of leading discussions and lesson planning and much more.
- Inclusive teaching workshop seriesInclusive teaching workshop series
Students with disabilities or chronic illnesses are a natural part of the university. Teachers are therefore also required to consider and include the needs of these students in their teaching. In the winter semester 2012/13, three workshops on Inclusive Teaching will be held in cooperation with the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Humanities and the Diversity Management of the Department of Studies and Teaching, which are aimed in particular at all lecturers at the University of Göttingen. In this series of events, the participating lecturers will develop ways in which they can respond didactically to the needs of students with disabilities or chronic illnesses.

In the summer semester of 2012, interested lecturers from the universities of Düsseldorf and Göttingen can take part in joint training courses on topics relating to “Science and the Internet”. Offered by the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf's junior research group of the same name and carried out in cooperation with the University Didactics Göttingen, seven 90-minute media training courses provide the space to scientifically examine and try out possible uses of blogs, Twitter and much more in teaching and research.
An overview of all media trainings as well as further information on organization and registration can be found here.
