DFG Research Training Groups



Research Training Groups (RTGs) are institutions financed by the German Research Council (DFG) for a limited amount of time to train young researchers within the framework of a structured project. Doctoral students that are part of a RTG may structure their work to fit a pre-defined project. They also generally take part in a course of study which provides academic and professional support for their specific research area.
