About the Presidential Board of the University of Göttingen
The President is responsible for strategic planning and university development and works together with the Vice Presidents responsible for specific areas. The Executive Board decides on draft resolutions at its weekly meetings. Within the guidelines, the Vice Presidents manage their business areas independently and under their own responsibility. The Executive Board is supported by the Chief Building Officer (CBO) and the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Prof. Dr Ramin Yahyapour, as well as by the ten specialist departments, three staff units and their commissioners.
