Prof. Dr. Alexander Baur is director of the Department of Criminology, Juvenile Justice and Corrections and holds the chair for criminal law and criminology at the Georg-August University of Göttingen. He has also been chairman of the ethics committee of the Georg-August University of Göttingen since 2024.
Prof. Dr. Alexander Bauer has a large number of publications and memberships. He is not only a member of the Center for Medical Law, but also of the Lower Saxony Criminological Research Institute, the Criminological Society, the Criminal Justice Working Group in Lower Saxony and the German Lawyers' Association. He also contributes, among other things, to the criminal policy magazine (KriPoZ) and the series of publications by the Institute for Criminal Sciences at the Faculty of Law at the Georg-August University of Göttingen.
