Dr. Wiebke Frieß

Wiebke Frieß (she/her) is a postdoc at the Chair of Human Resources Policy at Helmut Schmidt University Hamburg with a focus on gender and diversity studies. Previously, Wiebke worked on the research project “Participation through Crowdworking” and completed her doctorate in 2024 at the University of Hamburg on diversity management at universities, where she also completed her diploma in sociology, gender studies, political science and history. The research perspective is based on post-structuralist theoretical approaches and the methodological approach is rooted in qualitative social research. Special emphasis is placed on questions of diversity and inclusion in organizations, critical-intersectional perspectives on diversity discourses and diversity strategies, inclusion and participation in the context of digital work as well as the application of dispositive analyses as critical organizational analyses. Wiebke is also module leader and lecturer in the certificate program “Personnel and Organizational Development with a Focus on Diversity” at the Center for Continuing Education at the University of Hamburg.
