Elections to the collegiate bodies
The elections of all status groups to the Senate and the Faculty Councils will be held from Monday, 13 January 2025, 12:00:00 noon to Tuesday, 21 January 2025, 12:00:00 noon.
The collegial bodies Senate and the 13 Faculty Councils at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen each have 13 members with voting rights, who are directly elected according to groups.
One member group each is formed by:
- the professors and the junior professors (group of university teachers) with 7 seats,
- the academic and artistic staff as well as the teaching staff for special tasks (staff group) with 2 seats,
- the students (student group) with 2 seats and
- the employees in technology and administration (MTV group) with 2 seats.
The elections of the employees to the collegial bodies take place every 2 years in January of odd-numbered years. The elections of the student group to the collegial bodies take place every year in January.
