Elections to the collegiate bodies
The elections for all status groups to the Senate and the Faculty Councils will take place from Monday, 18 January 2027, at 12:00:00, until Tuesday, 26 January 2027, at 12:00:00.
At the Georg-August University of Göttingen, the collegial body Senate comprises 19 members with voting rights (from this election onwards), whilst each Faculty Council comprises 13 members with voting rights, who are elected directly by their respective groups.
The following shall each form a member group:
- the professors and the junior professors (group of university teachers) with 10 and 7 seats respectively,
- the research and artistic staff and the teaching staff with special responsibilities (staff group) with 3 and 2 seats respectively,
- students (student group) with 3 and 2 seats respectively, and
- technical and administrative staff (MTV group) with 3 and 2 seats respectively.
The elections of the employees to the collegial bodies take place every 2 years in January of odd-numbered years. The elections of the student group to the collegial bodies take place every year in January.
