Transdisciplinary methodologies for working landscape resilience
“Transdisciplinary methodologies for working landscape resilience” is a five-day international workshop in Göttingen, bringing together local and international scientists from various disciplines to co-develop a shared framework and toolbox for assessing and enhancing the resilience of working landscapes. Through keynotes, roundtables, open discussions, a field excursion and writing sprints, participants will align concepts, integrate social-ecological indicators and analytical scales, and operationalise mixed-method approaches. The workshop´s main objective is to build a transdisciplinary framework that facilitates the pluralistic analysis of resilience in working landscapes. Expected outputs include a perspective paper that proposes a social-ecological framework, as well as, a roadmap for joint funding that will help to consolidate an international network.
Elena Velado-Alonso is the project leader for the international workshop on transdisciplinary methodologies for landscape resilience. Specialising in biodiversity conservation in agricultural landscapes, her research focuses on biodiversity patterns, agro-livestock systems, and social-ecological dynamics in managed landscapes. She combines advanced quantitative ecological analyses with participatory research, effectively bridging the gap between science, policy and practice.
