Forschungsorientiertes Lehren und Lernen

The program “Forschungsorientiertes Lehren und Lernen” (FoLL) is aimed at students who want to conduct research on a topic from their field in a team during their undergraduate studies, and at teachers who are motivated to supervise a student team in a research project. The section for teaching and learning in higher education supports students, teachers, and research in the various subjects through consultations, exchange meetings, and workshops.
Five teams are participating in FoLL in the 2025/26 winter semester.
The four teams from the 2025 summer semester presented their results in the Adam-von Trott-Saal on November 6, 2025. Thank you very much for the great lectures and poster presentations!!
The application deadline for FoLL in the 2026 summer semester is March 23, 2026. Interested teachers and students are welcome to contact Susanne Wimmelmann at 0551/39 25981.

You can already look forward to the nationwide conference for student research (StuFo 26). It will take place on 24.+25.09.2026 at Waldweg 26.

FoLL is aimed at bachelor's students from all faculties and their teachers..

FoLL in fünf Punkten:

  • Bachelor's students conduct research early on, in a practical manner and as part of a team.
  • They will experience a coherent process from project planning to public presentation.
  • In parallel with the research process, the section for teaching and learning in higher education offers workshops and counseling for teachers and students.
  • The workshops are interdisciplinary.
  • At the end of the semester, the results will be presented publicly at the university.
